Mission Shakti:

Mission Shakti: An Another Leap In The Space

Suppose an object measuring a few meters is moving from Delhi at the speed of 20,000 kilometres per hour.   We, sitting at Mumbai, have to hit this object through a missile.  Sounds impossible?

Yes, because we will say the object is so small and it will go far beyond India till our missile reaches the object to shoot it down.  We need perfect calculation of the expected position of the object and accurate time to target.  It also requires advanced scientific technology.

But surprisingly, we have done it.  India has successfully conducted an anti-satellite missile test on the space.

Hitting a fast-moving satellite with a missile is a very challenging task.  That’s why only three countries before India have been capable to do this.  Now India has joined the international club of four countries having this capability.

We have even excelled in this field as India conducted the successful test at its first attempt.  Whereas, the previous countries the USA, Russia and China had to make several tests before they succeeded.

This is really a great achievement for India.  In other words, we can say that India has become a space power.

India, surrounded by hostile neighbours, can protect itself even in the space by targeting any satellite spying on it.

So, “Mission Shakti” has given countrymen an opportunity to be proud of being Indian.   DRDO and ISRO deserve warm appreciation for this heroic achievement.

Main Bhi Chowkidar

Main Bhi Chowkidar – An another Pro-Modi Wave?

Scene I.

A customer purchases a car and offers cash for payment.  The showroom manager refuses to accept cash.  The customer shows anger at him – “You are weak at finance”.

The manager replies back – “I am not weak, but the nation’s truthful chowkidar who doesn’t indulge in tax evasion”.

Scene II.

A family is travelling in a car.  The man in the car tries to throw corn outside the window of the car.  His wife stops him and offers a piece of paper to put into it. The man asks, “should we dirty our car?”  Wife responds, “Then should we dirty our city?”

The child from behind questions, “Mummy! Are you a teacher?”

The woman firmly replies, “I am chowkidar of the nation.  He is not alone. I am with him”.  When the car stops, the woman drops the garbage paper into the dustbin.

Scene III.

A mother calls for her doctor son at 12.15 am as to when he will return home for dinnerHe is not the only doctor in the town to work so late.

The son replies, “I am not a doctor alone.  I am chowkidar of society’s health.  She and my wife should not wait for me but take their dinner”.

When a poor patient looks at him, surprisingly, the doctor replies, “Will the nation’s chowkidar alone work till late night? I am also with him.

These scenes are of three different short films not created through any big ad agency but are pure creation of Prime Minister Office.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has prefixed the word “chowkidar” in his Twitter profile.  So many cabinet ministers have also followed this.  This is the beginning of a “Main Bhi Chowkidar” campaign.  The nation also seems to go crazy with this campaign as people are adding this slogan with their name.

The theme of the slogan gives message of constantly working for corruption-free India, clean and green India and be watchful and proactive to national security day and night.

No doubt that Mr Modi has become favourite after Balakot air-strike.  This “Main Bhi Chowkidar” campaign has the power to connect, emotionally, more and more people with him.

However, ‘Mahagathbandhan’ alliance is running another campaign “Chowkidar Chor Hai” through its Twitter handle.  The alliance alleges the loot of public money and award of monetary benefit to Prime Minister’s kith and kin in GST, demonetization policy and Rafale fighter jet deal.

This is a battle of “Main Bhi Chowkidar” V/S “Chowkidar Chor Hai”.

So it’s the Indian people who will decide in the coming months as to whether “Main Bhi Chowkidar” was another pro-Modi wave or “Chowkidar Chor Hai” was the true campaign that influenced them.

india china

After technical hold, how should India respond China deplomatically?

This was the fourth time, China vetoed Masood‘s terror tag at the United Nations Security Council.   Now it’s time to show China that India will find its own way to fight against terror, with or without China’s consent to labelling him a terrorist, it doesn’t matter.

India has already isolated Pakistan in the global forum.  This time, China has also alienated itself by abusing the power of veto again and again.

But, India should also reform its foreign policy with regard to China.  The reason, it has never been supportive of India.  This is a suitable time when most countries at the United Nations were with India and disapproved of China.

India should give a clear message that China trades with India five times greater than Pakistan.  In this way, the benefit it derives from Pakistan is much less in comparison to India.

If this rude neighbour continues to ignore the national interests of India and show undue love for Pakistan, it will have to bear a gigantic economic loss.  No doubt, this strong message needs to be sent to China.

Most western countries have banned China’s famous telecom Huawei from entering 5G.  The reason, they are suspecting espionage activity to be carried by China.  So, India can also give a lucid message regarding the future ban.

India can also take steps in the strategic field.   It can move forward to align more closely with the US, Japan, Australia, Vietnam and Indonesia.  These countries don’t like Chinese foreign policy.

Similarly, India can deepen its relationship with Taiwan whom China always raises the question over its validity.

All these actions of India will compel China to re-think to act against the interest of India.

The whole nation has seen that India has changed after Pulwama attack.  Now, it is the right time to show the sign of changed diplomatic policy against rude and obstinate China.

Saalumarada Thimmakka

Padma Awards got blessed by ‘Mother of Trees’

The Padma award ceremony 2019 was unique and exceptional in many ways.  This time, the awardees were not from elite groups, but many of them were common people.  By honouring common people, the country is reclaiming the true spirit of democracy – of the people, for the people and by the people.

One of the commoners among Padma awardees was Saalumarada Thimmakka.  While receiving the Padma Shri Award, Saalumarada Thimmakka, known as ‘Vriksha Mate’ blessed the Indian President by gently putting her palm on his head. The moment was so heartening that Rashtrapati Bhawan got echoed with thunderous applause.

The strict protocol even got weakened before this mahanayika when Honourable the President bowed his head to receive the blessing.

This is our great culture, our glorious tradition where a person sitting on the highest position is humble before Mother’s Love!

The life of S. Thimmakka from Karnataka is full of determination and perseverance.  It gives us the motivation to live and move forward even though we don’t get what we want.

Unable to bear a child, she found solace in planting trees with the support of her husband.

The couple worked hard in the fields to plant trees and cared for them. Sometimes, they had to walk for 4 kilometres to bring water for plantation.

106-year-old Thimmakka has been planting since the age of 40 years. She has planted 385 banyan and 8000 other trees.  Her husband passed away in 1991.

She has also got Karnataka Rajyotsava Award from the state government and National Citizen Award from the government of India.  Her selfless work has inspired several people to take up the initiative to save the environment.

However, this is saddening to hear that she receives only Rs. 500/- for her old age pension.

A great environmentalist should not be treated like this.  The government should take some steps so that she may live a respectful life having no financial crisis.

We should have faith in our Army

We should have faith in our Army

After the Balakot air-strike, the opposition parties are making baseless allegations and demands.  Some of their leaders are alleging that the strike was made at trees instead of terror camps.

Whereas, some are demanding the proof of destroyed terror training centre and body of dead terrorists.

Now one Rajya Sabha member of the opposition party has stated that the Pulwama attack was a match-fixing between the Prime Minister of Indian and Pakistan.

Just as India has successfully isolated Pakistan from the world, the government also needs to isolate such irresponsible people.

It is a known fact that when Osama was killed by the USA, no image or video was released.

It is crystal clear that airstrike has, indeed, been made and great harm has been caused to the training centre.  If it is not so, Pakistan would not release our AIF commander safe and so early.

We can remember the case of Saurabh Kalia who was captivated by Pakistan during the Kargil war.  Before his dead body getting handed over to India, he was brutally tortured.

The language in which the opposition parties speak is the one which our neighbouring country speaks.

The more India brings the cruel reality of Pakistan before the world, the more Pakistani news channels try to nullify it by showing statements of such leaders.

The whole nation has faith in our army, then why not these leaders?

The opposition parties need to check these things in order to maintain their patriotism.
